President Biden Pardons His Son
Fox News: President Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, after the first son was convicted in two separate federal cases earlier this year. The announcement was made by the White House on Sunday night. The pardon applies to offenses against the U.S. that Hunter Biden “has committed or may have committed” from Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 1, 2024. “Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter,” Biden wrote in a statement. “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.” The president went on to claim that his son was “treated differently” by prosecutors ( Fox News). Ed Morrissey: Politics did infect this process, but not in the manner that Biden claims. The first attempt by the Department of Justice to dispense with Hunter’s case resulted in a plea deal that was so corrupt that the federal judge refused to accept it. The special counsel dragged out the investigation long enough to have potential tax-evasion charges mooted by the statute of limitations. The DoJ prosecutes tax cheats and gun-law violators with much more enthusiasm than they did with the son of the sitting president. If Hunter’s last name wasn’t Biden, he’d have already been serving time in prison ( HotAir).

Democrats Upset Kamala Harris Keeps Sending Out Fundraising Emails
Washington Examiner: Some Democrats are complaining as Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed campaign begs one-time supporters to dole out more funds to dig it out of the red. Harris made headlines for raking in a staggering $1.5 billion during her abbreviated campaign. But after the dust settled on her subsequent defeat at the polls earlier this month, the vice president made news again for running up $20 million in debt. Forced to send out a deluge of fundraising emails to cover the losses, the Harris campaign’s continued requests for donors to dig deeper nearly four weeks after the election has some of her colleagues saying the tactic could “erode trust.” “I understand that the Harris campaign is in a very difficult position with the debt that they have, and so sometimes you just have to make practical decisions,” Mike Nellis, founder of the Democratic digital firm Authentic, told Politico. “But yeah, I think that stuff like that erodes trust” ( Washington Examiner). Independent: James Zogby, a DNC member who is vying for the committee’s vice chair position, said that the messages were not a “good look” and that the party’s donation solicitations can have a “begging” tone ( Independent).

British Prime Minister Admits Open Borders Experiment by Western Countries “Happened by design”
National Review: British prime minister Keir Starmer accused his predecessors of intentionally designing a “one-nation experiment in open borders” after the latest statistics revealed that more than 900,000 migrants entered the U.K. last year. The Labour Party leader laid the blame on the Conservative Party for the record-high numbers, claiming the opposition failed Brexit voters on its vow to curtail illegal immigration. Brexit, which authorized the U.K.’s exit from the European Union, narrowly passed in June 2016 and formally took effect in January 2020 ( National Review). Geiger Capital: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer just admitted that Western leaders have been running an “open borders experiment”… “This happened by design, not accident. Immigration policies were reformed deliberately. It has been a failure. They pretended it wasn’t happening” ( X). Commentator Dane: Keir Starmer admits the rapes, murders, loss of sight, limbs, jobs, homes, friends, family, death caused by iIIIegal savages pouring endlessly into the West ~ was by design. They planned your wife/husband’s murder, your daughter’s rape, your mother getting robbed and beat to death. They planned it ( X).

Denver Spent $356 Million on Illegal Immigrants
Center Square: Spending on migrants in Denver has ballooned to an estimated $356 million, an updated analysis by the Common Sense Institute says. The estimate, which amounts to $7,900 per foreign national in the city, includes spending from the city, schools, and health care systems. Denver has seen an influx of almost 43,000 migrants since 2022. The city has received significant federal funding for migrant response. Trump has taken aim at so-called sanctuary cities like Denver as part of his broader plan to crack down on illegal immigration and crime, and deport an untold number of criminal alienas in the U.S. illegally. In Colorado, state law bars state and local agencies from arresting individuals based on detainer requests from ICE ( Canter Square). Charlie Kirk: Denver’s Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston says he would be willing to go to jail blocking Trump’s mass-deportation plan. Denver residents would be better off letting him go to jail ( X).

Trump Threatens a 100 Percent Tariff on BRICS Countries Who Intend to Create a New Reserve Currency
Just the News: President-elect Donald Trump continued emphatically letting the world know some of his plans for when he returns to the White House next month, again with the threat of tariffs if certain nations insist on pursuing or continuing policies that he feels are contrary to U.S. interests. On Saturday, Trump threatened “100% tariffs” on the BRICS nations over plans they have been working on to move away from the dollar as the world’s reserve currency, a position it has held since the 1944 Bretton Woods Agreement. The BRICS nations include Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates ( Just the News). Donald Trump: The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER. We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy. They can go find another “sucker!” There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America ( X). Collin Rugg: Tariffs work great. One post about them got Justin Trudeau to fly 1000 miles to Mar-a-Lago ( X).

CNN Panelist Promises to Protect Illegal Immigrants From Law Enforcement’s Deportations
Townhall: Julie Roginsky vowed on CNN that she would be one of the people taking to the streets to stop it, but what got Scott Jennings, who was also on this panel, to interrupt and bring back some sanity to the discussion was when the liberal commentator said troops would fire into the crowds. “We’re way down a rabbit hole,” Jennings said, rolling his eyes. No one is going to get Tiananmen Square’d here, folks… Democrats still don’t get mass deportations are popular. They don’t get that criminal aliens getting the boot enhances public safety. And they will have to make the argument for why a child rapist, and there are tens of thousands of them who came here illegally, have the right to stay here ( Townhall). End Wokeness: CNN lady says she’ll physically stop the military from deporting illegals despite admitting some are terrorists ( X).

RFK Jr. Sets Sights on Big Pharma’s Television Advertising
Townhall: With Robert F. Kennedy Jr. slated to head President-elect Donald Trump’s U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Big Pharma is facing a rude awakening as its biggest source of funding is threatened. One of Kennedy’s first orders of business would be to target pharmaceutical advertising, in which prescription drugs can be advertised directly to consumers or direct-to-consumer (DTC). The United States and New Zealand are the only countries permitted to do this. As part of Kennedy’s Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) priorities, the former Democrat said he would issue an executive order banning pharmaceutical advertising on television. According to an analysis, Big Pharma would “almost certainly” see their drug sales take a hit from a DTC ban because the return on investment for the ads is significant, with “estimates ranging as high as 100-500 percent, depending on the drug” ( Townhall). Daily Caller: Spending on DTC pharmaceutical advertising in the United States ballooned to more than $7 billion in 2023, with ad buys on weight loss and diabetes drugs surpassing $1 billion for the first time ( Daily Caller).

New York Times Faces Backlash for Labeling Women “Non-transgender women”
Daily Wire: The New York Times faced a wave of backlash for a story that referred to biological females as “non-transgender women.” The story in question, titled “How a Women’s College Volleyball Team Became the Center of the Transgender Athlete Debate,” explored the explosion of protests and forfeitures surrounding San Jose State University and the school’s star player — a trans-identifying male… But after being referred to as “cis” women, “birthing persons,” and “menstruators,” it was the NYT’s phrasing that got the attention of their critics ( Daily Wire). WomenAreReal: Hey NYTimes: Don’t call us ‘non-transgender women.’ Just stop it. Stop all the offensive terms for us. Birthing parent. Uterus haver. Menstruator. Vaginal presenting (from the Olympus spa hearing). We are WOMEN ( X)! Charlie Kirk: The New York Times is so committed to the trans insanity that they’ve now resorted to describing good, old-fashioned women as “non-transgender women.” Good thing we’re the media now ( X).

Donald Trump Names Kash Patel as Director of the FBI
Fox News: President-elect Trump has named longtime ally Kashyap “Kash” Patel, who has been a frequent and harsh critic of the FBI, to serve as the bureau’s next director in the new administration. Patel, 44, is an attorney with experience in national security, intelligence and counterterrorism and helped uncover the bureau’s surveillance of the Trump campaign and first term. He has been a member of Trump’s transition team, advising the administration on other appointments. Trump announced Patel’s appointment in a Truth Social post on Saturday ( Fox News). Libs of TikTok: Remember when the FBI tried labeling parents at school board meetings a threat to national security because they didn’t want their kids being raped or transitioned in school? Kash Patel is exactly what we need to clean up the corrupt FBI ( X)! Robby Starbuck: A note for Democrat Senators: Kash Patel would be the first “person of color” in history to serve as FBI Director. According to your woke rules, you’re all racists and bigots if you try to stop him from getting confirmed for the job ( X). Scott Presler: The fact that Andrew McCabe feels Kash Patel as FBI Director would “disrupt,” “dismantle,” & “distract” the FBI speaks volumes that Kash is a good pick. Let me remind you that McCabe signed off on the phony FISA warrant to surveil Trump adviser Carter Page ( X). Greg Price: Left: Jake Sullivan saying today that the FBI “must remain an independent institution isolated from politics.” Right: Jake Sullivan’s statement during the 2016 election when he was a Hillary aide falsely accusing President Trump of having a secret server connected with Russia, which was a lie fed to the FBI by one of the Clinton campaign’s lawyers ( X).

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) States Biden Should Have Dropped Out of Race Sooner
Washington Examiner: Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) said on Sunday that President Joe Biden should have dropped out of the presidential race sooner, joining a list of Democrats to take that stance following Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential loss. “In hindsight, knowing that he ultimately made a decision to stand down, yes, of course, it would have been better for President Biden to have made that decision earlier. I think there’s no question about it,” Murphy said ( Washington Examiner).
