The holiday season is here: a time customarily filled with warmth and joy, but which can also be difficult for so many. As you begin to reflect on what the holidays mean to you, TODAY is the perfect time to help the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention provide hope and healing to individuals and families affected by suicide.

Giving Tuesday is December 3. Our goal this year is to raise $250,000 – funds that will go toward scientific research that enables us to learn more about how we can save lives, and support programs and events for survivors of suicide loss such as Healing Conversations and International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day.

Paul Augustyniak, our Board Chair for the Tennessee Chapter shared:

“I'm grateful for the resources and hope I found at AFSP. When we lost my wife to suicide, we had so many questions and there seemed to be no answers. Suicide itself, and the emotions related to a suicide loss, are complex. I found helpful guidance, care and compassion by talking with an AFSP volunteer.”

AFSP provides me a COMMUNITY of others who share a sense of belonging, so I don't feel alone.

AFSP allows me SPACE TO HEAL by making programs and resources available.

AFSP gives me a VOICE to tell our story and be courageous so others can feel more comfortable and find their voice.
