Hello,
Even in 2020, millions of Americans can still be fired, evicted, or denied public accomodation simply because they're gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer.
One year ago, the House passed a bill to finally change that. I was proud to cosponsor the Equality Act in the Senate, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has denied us the opportunity to vote on this long overdue bill.
Enacting federal pro-equality legislation is vital because, even in the midst of a global pandemic, politicians in some states are prioritizing anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. I need to keep the pressure on.
It's time for federal legislation to end discrimination against LGBTQ+ Americans. Show you're standing with me by adding your name.

We shouldn't have to wait for the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans to be litigated in the courts -- we can pass a federal law that explicitly bans discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
As we work every day to pass legislation to provide relief during the coronavirus crisis, it's important to also keep the drum beating for equality.
You can help provide the momentum to ensure that LGBTQ+ Americans no longer face the threat of being fired for coming out and living as they are.
Add your name now and say: "It's time to end discrimination against LGBTQ+ Americans."

Bob Casey
