The American people need more relief -- and they need it now. We are facing one of the biggest challenges in our nation's history and hardworking families cannot afford to wait -- that's why I voted to support phase four of Congress' COVID-19 response strategy. <br /><br />

The Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act is critical to putting hardworking people first. Here's what it provides for our communities:

Additional investments in testing, medical supplies, and our state and local governments;

More funding for small businesses and extended paid family and medical leave benefits;

Protection for families from evictions and foreclosures;

Access to the internet so folks can stay informed and connected;

Critical investments in election security and a national vote-by-mail strategy;

A lifeline to the United States Postal Service that countless Americans rely on to receive medications, communicate with loved ones, and submit ballots.


This bill will help ensure that no one gets left behind -- including rural communities, tribal communities, and even the U.S. territories. This is the time for us to come together as a nation and take care of each other. We are at our best when we work together. The American people deserve nothing less.
