Hi John,

We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well during this unprecedented time of uncertainty.

In the midst of a global pandemic, Mary Gay is working hard to ensure that the next COVID-19 relief legislation addresses food insecurity in our community and across the country.

No one should go hungry. During these challenging times, it is critical that we ensure our families -- children, seniors, and people with disabilities especially -- have access to nutritious food.

If you are food insecure or know someone in need, eligibility requirements for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can be found here. Or, you can use this link to find a food bank near you if you are in Pennsylvania.

Recently, Mary Gay joined the Pennsylvania delegation in calling on our leaders in Congress to make sure our next COVID-19 relief legislation includes increased funding for SNAP. It is imperative that we expand SNAP benefits, widen eligibility for the program, as well as ensure that our at-risk neighbors who must stay home have food brought to them.

SNAP is a vital social safety net that reduces hunger throughout Pennsylvania and the nation -- and we must protect and strengthen this program now more than ever.

We are proud of Mary Gay’s work to expand SNAP for families in our region and across the country. In the coming weeks and months, we will continue to keep you updated on Mary Gay’s fight to end hunger.

Thank you for all of your support as we continue this fight!
