John,
Today is World AIDS Day, and later this week, on Giving Tuesday, people across the world give some of what they have to those who need our help.
Since 1990, CWA members and retirees have supported the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s mission to end AIDS in children, youth and families. These generous contributions are key to EGPAF’s ability to work towards an AIDS-free generation.
As Secretary-Treasurer of CWA, I proudly represent CWA on EGPAF’s Board of Directors. Through this role, I have learned more about the great impact EGPAF has on the global fight to end AIDS in children. Their efforts to extend care and treatment programs, conduct operational research, and advocate for children’s rights globally, are incredible. They have and continue to focus on prioritizing children in the epidemic’s response, which is so important.
This year, we ask you to consider making a $1 contribution in honor of World AIDS Day and Giving Tuesday, and of this special partnership. Just $1 can make a difference! It can help EGPAF provide phone credits for healthcare workers to communicate with clients, or it can help provide the materials for an HIV test for one infant.
CWA has been a partner in this work since the beginning, and we must continue supporting EGPAF’s global efforts. To stand up for an AIDS-free generation, please visit www.pedaids.org/cwa.
In Unity,
Ameenah Salaam
Secretary-Treasurer
