Hi John,
Did you know that Save Our Schools Arizona is actually two powerful organizations? Our 501(c)(4) social welfare arm fights to elect pro-public school candidates during election years, galvanizes and informs voters with clear policy contrasts, and supports school board races as a front line protecting our most vulnerable students.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, our 501(c)(3) charitable arm, Save Our Schools Arizona Network, reaches out across Arizona — and around the nation — to research, write, and speak about the incredible importance of public education to the survival of our democracy. Today, we see dire threats and yet encouraging signs that those threats are recognized and will be resisted.
But we need your help to continue leading the charge against radical defunding and dismantling of America’s proudest achievement: a robust, academically excellent, accessible, and free public education system serving every single student’s needs.

With your support, we can:
* Leverage a groundbreaking targeted digital voter registration program that we piloted in 2024, engaging Indigenous, Latino, and Black citizens in every corner of Arizona
* Deliver hundreds of updated virtual and in-person townhalls, regional summits, education roadshows, and advocacy sessions to celebrate public schools and rally in their defense
* Strengthen our statewide support network for school boards struggling to push back against disruptive attacks on vulnerable students, teachers, librarians, and administrators
* Grow our work to drive the national conversation , building on the insights we have already contributed to national publications such as the Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN, The Guardian, Politico, the Wall Street Journal, and other influential media
We won’t mince words: 2025 is going to be critical nationwide for organizations like ours at the front lines of the fight for the future of public education.
We’ve been working with a rapidly growing network of public school supporters across the US, and helping folks in states like Tennessee, Texas, Idaho, Montana, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Colorado, and Nebraska to push back against harmful vouchers and privatization schemes.
So the good news is that we have momentum, we have the largest volunteer network in Arizona, and we’re determined that the incoming national administration won’t succeed in their plans to slash education funding and undercut public schools. We are organized, we are connected across Arizona and nationally, and we are planning and strategizing with local and national organizations.
But we need your help. 2025 is going to put organizations like ours at the front lines in the fight for the future of public education.
This Giving Tuesday launches our end-of-year giving campaign. Your donations will help fuel our work for the coming year, and we will need more resources than ever to protect Arizona students, educators, and schools.
Can you donate $25, $250, or $2500 to help us gear up for the battles ahead? Contribute at SOSAZNetwork.org/Donate [[link removed]] .
With you, and readying ourselves for the fight to save our public schools,
Our Team at SOSAZ Network
