On Friday night, President Trump fired another Inspector General. Step by step, the President is dismantling our democracy. And Susan Collins does nothing.

The Inspector General’s office is what keeps our government honest and accountable. They are the watchdogs that investigate waste, fraud, and abuse. And on Friday night, Trump fired Inspector General Steve Linick – the third Inspector General in the past month. And it’s been reported that Linick was in the middle of an investigation of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo – an investigation that’s now been derailed.

And where is Susan Collins? When the President was impeached, Susan Collins acquitted him, claiming he had learned his lesson. It’s apparent that the only lesson President Trump has learned is that Susan Collins and the Republicans in the Senate will do nothing to stop him. Worse, they’ll aid and abet his misconduct.
