This legislation will convene a 14-member select committee from both parties to improve our electoral process and recommend common sense changes.
Among the many changes the committee will consider are expanding the size of the House, forming independent redistricting committees, and replacing the winner-take-all electoral system with proportional representation.
As Marie Gluesenkamp Perez said, “These structural problems won’t be solved with inside-the-box thinking or by defending the status quo.”
