URGENT: We can't allow Mitch McConnell to block climate legislation. Join us and demand a vote on the International Climate Accountability Act »
We don't have time for political games, friend.
We have less than 12 years to solve the climate crisis and protect our planet for future generations. And there is a bill in the Senate — the International Climate Accountability Act — that would recommit the U.S. to the Paris Agreement and forge a path to transition away from fossil fuels.
But Senator McConnell is playing political games and refusing to even bring this bill to a vote in the Senate. We desperately need bold action on climate coming from the highest levels of government, but once again
Senator McConnell is putting polluter profits ahead of the future of humanity.
For the last two years, LCV supporters like you have led the fight to protect the Paris Climate Agreement and show the world that we are still committed to act on climate — even as Trump tries to pull us out. This bill would put us back in line with the global community in the fight against climate change, but it's going to take all of us to push McConnell to allow a vote — will you add your name now?
Don't let McConnell block our path to the U.S. recommitting to the Paris Agreement. Send him a message and demand that he bring the International Climate Accountability Act to a vote »
The choice should be simple, friend — Congress should stand up for the needs of the people, not Big Polluters.
Two years ago, Trump announced his intent to pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement, which would make the U.S. the ONLY country not part of this critical effort to fight climate change.
The International Climate Accountability Act pushes back against Trump, supports the U.S. transition to a clean energy economy, and makes us once again a part of a global effort to tackle climate change.
By attempting to stall a vote on this bill and climate action, McConnell is greenlighting Trump's agenda and betraying the will of the people, undermining our economy, and allowing the U.S. to abdicate its role as a global leader.
By not acting on climate, we put all of our health and safety at risk — especially in communities of color and low-income communities that are hit first and worst by the impacts of climate change.
Trump and Republican leaders are ready to use every play in their pro-polluter playbook to keep this bill away from the Senate floor. But if we create enough public outcry, we can make this too politically toxic even for them. We need to flood McConnell's office with messages in support of the International Climate Accountability Act and we need to do it now.
Hold McConnell accountable and demand that the Senate vote on the International Climate Accountability Act »
