Double Exposure Film Series

Simultaneities and Solidarities

The film series “Double Exposure” deals with ambiguity, consonances and dissonances and what belongs together in what is different. Films in the December part of the series include: Andreas Veiel's documentary Black Box BRD, Cem Kaya's documentary essay Love, Deutschmark and Death, and Girls/Museums by Shelly Silver–all films in German with English subtitles–streaming now for free via Goethe on Demand.

The German Embassy hosted an awards ceremony for the winners of the Kant Essay Competition on November 21, 2024. Ambassador Andreas Michaelis greeted the students and participated in a conversation about the continued impact of the Enlightenment.
