DEFENDING KANSAS SAVING AMERICA DONATE VOLUNTEER Election Summary Reflecting on Election 2024: A Victory for Kansas Republicans by Mike Brown, Chairman The Kansas Republican Party With Election Day now behind us, Kansas stands proud as the results are clear: the 2024 election delivered extraordinary victories for the Republican Party, cementing a resounding “Red Wave” across the state. The energy on both sides of the political spectrum tells the story. While Democrats grapple with disappointment, Republicans are celebrating significant wins that showcase our party’s strength and strategy. This newsletter highlights the Kansas Republican Party’s (KSGOP) pivotal role in shaping these outcomes, focusing on behind-the-scenes efforts that supported our candidates and motivated voters to turn out. A Commanding Victory at the Top of the Ticket President Donald Trump’s decisive 57% to 41% win in Kansas over Kamala Harris set the tone for a remarkable election cycle. His presence atop the ballot inspired Kansas voters, despite the absence of statewide races this year, and created coattails that benefited Republican candidates all the way down the ballot. The KSGOP was proud to play a critical role in delivering these results, reinforcing Kansas’s place in the Republican Electoral College column. A special thanks goes to Governor Jeff Colyer, who served with distinction as the Trump47 Campaign State Chairman, providing strategic leadership that energized voters and volunteers alike. And I want to recognize our amazing and talented KSGOP Executive Leadership Team, including: KSGOP Vice Chair Cheryl Reynolds KSGOP Treasurer Alan Townsend KSGOP Secretary Tess Anderson KSGOP Attorney, Chris McGowne KSGOP Executive Director, Dakotah Parshall KSGOP Office Manager Marty Bohannon and Kristi Brown, my wife, who has helped and stood by my side every step of the way. These key players make it happen at the KSGOP, and I’m so proud of what this team has accomplished. Smart Spending vs. Reckless Spending While Governor Laura Kelly’s administration adopted an unsustainable, heavy-handed spending approach reminiscent of Kamala Harris’s campaign strategies, the KSGOP remained focused on data-driven, efficient resource allocation. By conducting continuous polling and targeting key districts, we bolstered Republican candidates in the areas where support was most needed. This strategic planning ensured that resources went directly toward securing critical victories. In stark contrast to the Governor’s “Middle of the Road PAC,” which funneled $2 million of sketchy Dark Money out-of-state funds into a failed attempt to weaken Republican supermajorities, our party achieved outstanding results while maintaining fiscal discipline. In a stunning display of utter and outright failure, the Progressive Democrat Governor of Kansas targeted and funded 12 key races, with only one win—a return rate of just 0.083%. This underscored the effectiveness of our strategy and the clear rejection of her agenda. Campaign Highlights: Tools and Tactics That Delivered Wins The 2024 election cycle saw the KSGOP hugely leverage innovative tools and methods to support Republican candidates and drive voter engagement: Direct Mail Program • Delivered 5 million mail pieces with over 500 unique designs. • Supported nearly 400 Republican candidates. • Saved over $330,000 on postage through our nonprofit rate. Numinar Data Management • Managed 400 individual and group accounts, training over 2,000 users. • Knocked on 1.7 million doors and distributed literature. • Made 75,000 phone calls and sent 850,000 targeted text messages. • Provided free access to Numinar, thanks to the generosity of angel investors. Kansas Bus Tour In late October, we launched the “Run Right” statewide bus tour, covering 1,700 miles in 5 days and stopping in 17 Kansas communities. Candidates and voters alike joined the festivities, sharing enthusiasm and camaraderie. This innovative and first-class initiative was both cutting-edge and yet also “old school” in our approach to showcasing the best of what it means to be part of the Republican movement in Kansas. Fundraising Milestones • In September, the KSGOP raised $800,000. • October marked a record-breaking $1.6 million month. • November closed with nearly $500,000 raised. These financial accomplishments reflect the most financially successful three-month stretch in KSGOP history. Additionally, Chairman Mike Brown raised nearly $160,000 specifically for the Trump47 campaign, further demonstrating our commitment to supporting Republican leadership at all levels. The Results Speak for Themselves • Gained 2 Kansas Senate and 3 Kansas House seats, strengthening our supermajorities in both chambers. • Contributed to 51 Republican gains nationwide, including 5 in Kansas alone—nearly 10% of the national total. With a plus-5 margin in Kansas, we bested our four bordering States combined, pointing to the fact that the Red Wave was not across the Midwest but occurred in Kansas. Our neighboring States each did some things better than we did, and we are proud of all of them. We applaud and celebrate their successes with them. These victories ensure that Kansas’s legislative bodies are filled with dependable, conservative Republicans ready to lead. A Shared Victory None of this success would have been possible without the tireless efforts of the KSGOP team, our candidates, the RNC and State Party Strategies, Chairman Michael Whatley and Co-Chair Laura Trump, the Trump47 team, and the voters who showed up to make their voices heard. This was a collective achievement from Team Trump47 to our state and national partners. As Chairman of the Kansas Republican Party, I am proud to say we are honored to be part of the Republican team, working together to secure historic wins and protect the future of our great nation. Together, we are saving America—and we’re just getting started. Here’s to continued success and more winning ahead! #LetsRoll In Respect, Freedom, Love, and Liberty, Mike Brown, Chairman The Kansas Republican Party Mike Brown, Chairman Kansas Republican Party Mike Brown has served as the Chairman of the Kansas Republican Party since February 2023.
