#AhmaudArbery, #BreonnaTaylor #BlackLivesMatter

Friend:

The Attack on Blackness continues as the Black community is suffering at disparate rates from the current pandemic while, at the same time, innocent community members are being murdered by cops and white supremacist vigilantes. It is the work of Advancement Project National Office, our national partners to respond to these incidents, strategize with allies and come up with plans of action.

We invite you to be part of the conversation during #TheSipHour today on Facebook Live at 2pm ET/11am PT, as our Executive Director Judith Browne Dianis co-leads a conversation about the murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, the arrest of her boyfriend Kenneth Walker, and the Black response to COVID-19. Not on Facebook? You can also join on YouTube.

Guests include New York State Attorney General Letitia "Tish" James, mother of Trayvon Martin and activist Sybrina Fulton, activist Tamika D. Mallory and Attorney Lonita Baker. Also joining the conversation is Georgia NAACP President James Woodall. Join Advancement Project National Office and our co-host organizations run by Black women: Higher Heights, The League, National Womens Law Center, and BlackPAC and follow the conversation on Twitter with #TheSipHour and #BlackWomenLead.

#TheSipHour also gathers for Power Lunch on Wednesdays at 2pm ET/11am PT, and Happy Hour on Fridays at 5pm ET/2pm PT, to connect Black women to thought-leaders and innovators across sectors from government, non-profit and corporate to entertainment, culture and lifestyle.

P.S. Continue to watch for our #FreeAndSafe from COVID-19 litigation updates, spread the word to your networks in Detroit, East Baton Rouge, Miami and St. Louis to take action to free community members in jail in these cities and support our work so we can continue to take legal action in more cities and states.
