Folks,

When Donald Trump took office in 2017, he had roughly 100 open judicial seats waiting for him to fill thanks to Mitch McConnell's record obstruction.

McConnell then worked at a record pace to confirm 234 of Trump's judicial nominees. Well… Democrats are one big step closer to TYING that record before the end of the year despite ongoing Republican obstructionism.

Here's why this matters:

* Leaving judicial seats open means backlogs of important cases that decide on YOUR freedoms – we're talking about everything from the freedom to form a union to making your own medical decisions.

* Most federal judicial seats are lifetime appointments. The average length of service for a Supreme Court justice is 16 years. That's 4x a presidential term or 2.67x how long I serve. (The longest term a Supreme Court justice served was 34 years.)

I know stuff like this can seem a bit wonky – but the impact on our lives is real. After all, it was Donald Trump's 3 Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe and with it the national protection of our reproductive freedom.

I'm proud to be part of a Democratic Senate Majority that is still delivering for you.

But before I close out, I do need to ask for your help and support – because while I’m working for you in the Senate, I also still have fundraising goals I need to hit this month. Can you pitch in $5 to help raise the last bit we need before November is over? [link removed]

Thank you,
