Saludos John, I hope you’re enjoying the holidays with your loved ones.

As we close out the Thanksgiving festivities, we’re also coming close to the end of November, and that means we’re coming up against our first major test since the election — our November fundraising deadline. At the end of this email, I’m going to ask you to chip in $10 but I want to take a moment to explain why first:

We’re at a crossroads right now, John.

This is a critical transition period as we gear up for what a second term under Donald Trump will look like in 2025. Here in New Mexico, we made significant wins in Congress by holding NM-02, NM-01 and our U.S. Senate seat in the face of massive outside spending by Republicans. But the work is nowhere near over.

After Inauguration Day, we will officially be led by a Republican trifecta in Washington, and it’s going to be up to all of us to keep fighting back against MAGA extremism. But we need to start getting ready to defend our freedoms right now.

Here’s the thing: National Republicans are preparing to launch attacks on our rights as we speak — and our district is one of their TOP targets. As the first Democrat to hold this seat blue for consecutive terms in over 40 years, they’re going to give all they’ve got to take me down.

But we’re stronger than them, John.

And if we want to show them that, we need to start gearing up for the road ahead right now. Tomorrow night, we’re going to be up against the first test of Team Vasquez’s strength since Election Day, and there’s too much on the line for us to falter.

That’s why I’m asking today: Can I count on you to chip in $10 or any amount possible to help defend New Mexico, democracy, reproductive freedom and our public lands before tomorrow’s deadline?
