Hey John,

I hope you and your loved ones are doing well and taking care of yourselves the best you can. Facing the uncertainty of the current coronavirus pandemic while also coming to terms with the recent news related to Ahmaud Arbery, Sean Reed and Breonna Taylor has been tough. But I feel so incredibly hopeful and proud to be a part of an organization and a community that I see pushing for real solutions and showing up for Black people at this time.

The state of the country the past few weeks has reminded me just how critical the upcoming wave of elections will be. Elections where we, with your generous support, will have the opportunity to elect candidates that will also push for real solutions to the challenges our communities face and also show up for Black people.

In preparation for the upcoming elections, from now until November, members of my team will be focused on identifying and reporting disinformation intentionally spread to scare, confuse and suppress Black voters—and that's why I'm asking for your support today. We need your help to grow and strengthen our disinformation program.
