Hi, John!
After months of pouring our energy into this election season, many of us — especially Black women — are feeling the weight of it all. We showed up, as we always do, carrying the hope for progress on our shoulders. But now, it’s time to embrace the rest we’ve more than earned. This holiday season, let’s make room for what truly matters — ourselves.
So, let’s flip the script! Instead of piling on the pressure, let’s reclaim this season as one of joy and restoration. Cue the late-night movie binges, soulful holiday playlists, and gatherings with the people who pour love back into us. Whether it’s a social media fast, an ugly Christmas sweater party, or a moment of laughter — let’s make room for what truly matters — ourselves and our communities.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the things that have brought me joy throughout November:
✅ Being able to slow down after a busy election cycle.
✅ All the voters who showed up and showed out this election season [[link removed]]. 🗳️
✅ Beyonce’ [[link removed]] being Beyonce’ and giving us everything but the visuals.
✅ The Cross series on Amazon Prime that I binge watched in one day.
✅ Kendrick Lamar dropping GNX right on time.
