SkyTree Book Fairs

Patriot,

You would not believe the inappropriate books Scholastic pushes on kids at innocent book fairs, from highly sexualized content to confusing stories about gender transitioning to books promoting self-harm.

I’ve documented some of the books for you below so you can find them yourself if you don’t believe me.

Each of these contains storylines aimed at making children question their identity, consider dealing with their feelings through self-harm, or accept gender confusion as a normal part of growing up.

Red: A Crayon’s Story (for Ages 3-7)
About a crayon mistakenly labeled as “red” who finds the courage to be his true-blue self.

Asking for a Friend (for Ages 8-12)
A story about queer joy and all the ups and downs of true friendship.

Cut (for Ages 12 & up)
A novel about a young girl who cuts herself and her time in a psychiatric facility.

Escape from St. Hell: My Trans Teen Life Levels Up (for Ages 14 & up)
The story of a teen coming into her own as a “trans man.”
