A year ago today, the House took a huge step in the fight for equality by passing the Equality Act.

This landmark legislation would help ensure LGBTQ+ Americans are protected from discrimination under the law. I was proud to cosponsor this potentially life-saving bill – but unfortunately, the Senate has remained silent on this important legislation.

There’s still a long road ahead until we achieve full equality, but I’m not giving up. And neither are my fellow Equality Caucus co-chairs, Reps. Angie Craig and Chris Pappas.
