Hi John,

Today marks the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People – and once again, huge numbers of people around the world will take action to demand an end to Israel’s genocidal attacks on Gaza and justice for all Palestinians this weekend.

After more than a year of unrelenting atrocities, Israel has reduced Gaza to a living hell, its murderous actions backed by material and diplomatic support from the most powerful governments in the world.

A huge global movement has grown in this time, forcing governments to row back their unconditional support for Israel; the UK and others have suspended some arms sales to Israel. But with the bombs still raining on Gaza and Israeli politicians making plans to annex more Palestinian land, far more is needed.

Will you write to your MP and ask them to back a ban on ALL remaining arms licences to Israel and an end to normal trade relations with Israel?
Yes, I will write to my MP
Last week, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant, with charges including directing attacks on civilians and using starvation as a weapon of war.(1)

Yet, despite banning some arms sales to Israel, the British government is still allowing the export of key parts for the F-35 fighter jet used to bombard Gaza. And amid this, Starmer’s government continues to offer warm words to Israel, this week pledging that Israel is still “a key partner” for trade and investment. (2)

Indeed not only has the UK maintained its existing trade deal with Israel, but the government has plans for a new one. This would include deepening ties with Israel’s tech industry, a sector heavily involved in the surveillance and repression of Palestinians. We believe both trade deals must be scrapped.

Ask your MP to back a full arms embargo and trade sanctions on Israel

Israel’s brutality has been made possible with the permission and support of governments like the UK. It is on us to make their support for Israel’s crimes untenable.

Thank you for your support
