Thank you for helping to make this such a big year for transport, Supporter
|

Dear Supporter
Together we are becoming a real force for better transport. Thanks to you and supporters like you, we are making our voice heard by government: public transport is truly on the agenda in Westminster, with a raft of public transport bills introduced this year, and an integrated transport strategy announced yesterday. Thank you for everything you have done to help us get here. Can you donate to help keep this momentum going?

There are many reasons that we campaign for better transport, here are some that have been shared by Campaign for Better Transport staff and supporters like you.

|
"Taking a bus when I need to go into the town centre or to see friends means I can do these things, which are important to me, without adding to the damage being done to the earth. Three cheers for buses!"
- Morgan, Campaign for Better Transport supporter

"My family does not have a car and this can present challenges. We walk to school, cycle to the park and take the bus to the city centre. But sometimes these options don’t work so my children miss out on clubs and activities. We had to stop swimming classes on Saturdays because the bus was too infrequent and it was too expensive getting taxis."
- Silviya Barrett, Director of Policy and Campaigns, Campaign for Better Transport

"Journeys by bus or train or tram [are] much more enjoyable. Public transport is good for the environment and more investment will lead to more people switching from the car to other forms."

I have a gathering with my family in December to celebrate Christmas, and each year I travel by train to meet them. Last year I travelled from Kent up to Preston to see my son Christy, his wife Frankie and their mischievous cats, Rocky and Bobby. Being able to take this journey and see my loved ones (all four of them!) is of immense value to me. It reminds me why I am so passionate about campaigning for better transport. Not everyone has access to good public transport links. Some people are lonely, and not being able to access transport exacerbates this drastically. This is why I work for Campaign for Better Transport.

Together we are a strong force working for a future where everyone, everywhere has access to reliable, affordable transport that suits them and protects the environment. Can you donate to this important work?
|
|
For those people who do not have access to transport, we are working to make transport funding fairer and more accessible, so that local authorities can make improvements and provide the services people need.
For the people whose transport does not work for them, we undertake projects to find ways to integrate transport systems more effectively, we identify fixes to make transport easier to use, and we find solutions to make sure transport links are increased, not taken away.
If you can, please donate to make sure we can campaign on behalf of the people who need better transport.

Do you have a particular reason for wanting better transport? Whatever it may be, I am so pleased to be working alongside you to campaign for better transport.
Best wishes,
Sarah Bradley
