Happy Thanksgiving. I won’t take up too much of your time today, but I did want to share a personal note of thanks for all you do throughout the year to help the USO support our service members and their families.

Handwritten note “Your loyal support touches the lives of our military heroes year-round. Thank you! J.D.”

The USO proudly stands beside our heroes in uniform as they make countless sacrifices to serve our country. From long deployments overseas to responding when natural disasters strike here at home, they give up special days like today with their loved ones. Our work is only possible with this community’s generous support.

Because of you, thousands of service members who can’t be with their families this Thanksgiving can enjoy a warm, festive meal courtesy of the USO. They’ll be able to video chat with their families, virtually read a bedtime story to their kids and maybe even watch some football at their local USO Center. In moments like these, the USO becomes a home away from home.

Every day, we work closely with each branch of the military to understand the needs of our service members and provide the support that will make a difference.

With your continued support, we’ll keep expanding and evolving —  because there’s always more we can do to be there for our heroes and their families.

As you reflect on your blessings this holiday, I hope you’ll consider making a Thanksgiving gift to honor our military. Your contribution of $29 or more will show appreciation for our heroes on this day of gratitude and help the USO continue providing critical support.

From all of us at the USO, and the thousands of service men and women you are helping, thank you for your generosity, compassion and patriotism. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
