Friend,

November has been a challenging month. We know it’s been quite a month for
you too. Through it all, we are grateful to be in this together and to be
working with you Friend, alongside our 82,000 Moms Vote
volunteers, and our over one million members.

→ [ [link removed] ]Our MomsRising community is in this work for the long-haul. Part of
the strategy of persistence is listening and learning. Our work together
is needed MORE THAN EVER. We’d love to hear your ideas for RISING to
expand our movement in 2025 and beyond!

The heartbreaking loss of Vice President Harris at the top of the ticket
is one we still think about every day. The headlines are still just, well,
awful. Those Trump cabinet nominees are shockingly unqualified.

Fortunately, despite this major loss at the top of the ticket, there still
were significant wins across the nation that happened in no small part
because of the powerful work YOU did getting out the mom vote. And on this
day of gratitude, we want to share those wins with you.

Together, your efforts helped achieve groundbreaking victories in 2024:

* Helped 51 Congressional candidates who support moms and care policies
win their elections;

* Elected two Black women to the United States Senate at the same time
for the first time ever – Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE) and Angela
Alsobrooks (MD);

* Played a role in winning care victories on the ballot in red, purple,
and blue states, including Alaska, Missouri, Nebraska, and Washington
State;

* Helped secure wins on 7 out of 10 state abortion ballot measures –
Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, and New York;

* And just in: We helped defeat the appointment of a terrifyingly
unqualified Matt Gaetz from becoming the United States Attorney
General.

This is the power of moms in action. Thanks to incredible members like
you, mom voter engagement reached record-breaking levels this year – and
made these big differences in positive ways across the country. You
hand-wrote five million postcards, sent twenty million mom-to-mom texts,
held over 2,050 local events, supported one another, and inspired moms to
vote in key areas.

THANK YOU for being an unstoppable force for change. Your work, along with
the work of over 82,000 MomsRising volunteers, and our over 1,076,000
active members across the nation, helped advance some really powerful wins
on Election Day. We are so grateful to be working with you.

→ Our work together is needed MORE THAN EVER. [ [link removed] ]We’d love to hear your
ideas for RISING in 2025 and beyond! MomsRising is made up of over
1,076,000 members of diverse backgrounds, experiences, cultures,
geographic locations, and ages. We all experienced this election
differently. [ [link removed] ]All ideas on how we can continue to expand as a community
and as a movement are needed and welcome!.

Here’re more details on the wins:

* The Moms Power Elections and Moms' Seal of Approval on Child Care
candidate programs won big: 51 of our endorsed and supported
candidates won! Through these programs, MomsRising supported
candidates that champion affordable child care, reproductive freedom,
paid family and medical leave, maternal health equity, accessible
aging and disability care, gun safety, and other policies that lift
our families and businesses, our economy and our country – and 2 will
serve as Governors, 40 will serve in the US House, and 9 will serve in
the US Senate come January!

* This is a 73% win rate – Of 70 candidates supported through the
Moms Power Elections and Moms’ Seal of Approval on Child Care
candidate programs, 51 candidates won.

* Moms’ Seal of Approval on Childcare: 38/49 candidates won
(78% win rate)

* Care also won big on the ballot in key states. In addition,
importantly, care infrastructure policies and abortion protection
measures won at the ballot box in blue, purple, and even red states.
This is proof of what we already knew: Care is bipartisan (more than
70% of Trump voters support care policies). Care is universal. Child
care, home care, paid family/medical leave, fair pay for care workers,
maternal health equity, reproductive freedom, and more are essential
to families being able to thrive across America. There is bridging
power in the care agenda. More details on some of these wins include:

* We handily beat back measures that would have rolled back our
progress on child care and long-term care in Washington State.
* Voters backed ballot measures to boost the minimum wage and
provide paid sick time to working people in Alaska and Missouri.
* Nebraska voters approved a ballot measure giving workers the
right to earn paid sick leave.
* And of course, we and so many organizations, helped win 7 of the
10 state abortion ballot measures and had majority support in 8
of them: Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada,
New York (and the abortion ballot measure in Florida got more
votes than Trump but 60% of votes are needed in Florida for
passage).

We’re so grateful for the power and persistence in our community. Evidence
of that persistence is that since the election, MomsRising members are
still rising in big ways. More than 3,000 of our members got on a
Post-Election Community Zoom together recently to rise in next steps
together — and thousands have already signed up to help Stop
Disinformation since the election. So we’re doing another Community Zoom!
Our next MomsRising Community Zoom meeting is on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024,
starting at 8:30 pm ET/ 5:30 pm PT, over 900 people have already signed up
– and you’re invited to join us. [ [link removed] ]*RSVP here to say you’re interested

→ [ [link removed] ]We’re so grateful for your actions and your expertise. We’d love to
hear your ideas for RISING in 2025 and beyond! A key part of the strategy
of persistence is listening and learning from you! [ [link removed] ]Please share ideas
on how we can continue to expand as a community and as a movement.

And make no mistake, persistence is very much a key part of the strategy
moving forward. Part of the strategy of persistence is listening and
learning; part is sharing our real stories & core values in more strategic
ways (MomsRising members have shared over 66,000 personal stories with us
in the past couple of years alone); part of the persistence is standing up
and protecting key policies and programs (and communities); another part
of the persistence is finding out where we can be proactive; and yet
another part is creating strategic pathways to stop disinformation, and
more.

During this really difficult time, we recall that we still can have
victories even when situations seem impossible. For instance, when Trump
last took office, like now, the leadership in the House and Senate were
Republicans — and all leaders agreed that the Affordable Care Act (ACA),
which covers tens of millions of people, should be overturned. But all was
not lost. MomsRising, along with partner organizations, engaged locally,
shared our stories with leaders, the media, and the public; called
leaders; delivered story books; engaged local and regional media; held
local events and town halls; and so much more…. And against all odds, we
won. Twice.

Our over 1,076,000 active members are prepared to rise again in those
trusted & effective ways— and also in new ways too.

And the volunteer movement that we strengthened in the election, who
signed and mailed more than 5 million handwritten postcards to mom voters,
who sent over 20 million text messages, and who held more than 2,300 local
events in October and November, are not giving up. Together, we are
stronger than ever.

Our work isn't done yet.

→ We’re incredibly grateful to be in this with you, for the time you take
pushing key policies forward, as well as for all you do advancing
important candidates and ballot measures. [ [link removed] ]Every single one of us is
still needed. We’d love to hear all ideas on how to grow even bigger as a
movement.

Thank you for all you do, for your community, and for your persistence.
Let's keep making history together!

We deeply appreciate you.
