Last week we told you about our Government Tracker project, what we didn’t mention was that we launched the tracker in Parliament to a room full of politicians, journalists and change makers.
As a tool, the tracker is important in holding politicians accountable for the promises they make and starting to build a greater sense of trust in politics.

This is particularly important for the new Labour government in the aftermath of ‘passes for glasses’, most of the public haven’t seen the trust-building action they’d been led to expect.
Now, Sir Keir Starmer’s new Ministerial Code has been published and once again,it’s clear that the government needs to be going further, ([link removed]) faster if it is truly serious about rebuilding trust.

An estimated 13,000 farmers travelled to Westminster last week to protest against proposed changes to inheritance tax announced in the Budget.
But there’s been disagreement over how many of the UK’s 209,000 farm holdings may be required to pay more tax as a result of the changes.
