As we gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for you.

This year, we made history together. Your support, your advocacy, and your unwavering belief in equality and justice helped break barriers and open doors. As the first gay woman elected to Congress from the South, I am deeply honored to fight for the values we share.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we hold dear. I’m grateful for the progress we’ve made, the courage of those who came before us, and the hope we carry for a brighter future.

But most of all, I’m thankful for the people like you who make this work possible. You inspire me to keep fighting, to keep pushing, and to never back down in the face of challenges.

From my family to yours, I wish you a Thanksgiving filled with love, connection, and hope for the days ahead.
