Dear Friends,
This has been a year filled with hard work, real challenges, and an Election Day outcome that was not what I wanted or expected. Yes, I am disappointed in the national election results, but I will not give up hope and I will never stop working to do the best job I can – at home in Minnesota and in Congress.
On November 5th, more than 242,000 Minnesotans voted for me and told me to get back to work protecting their priorities and defending their rights, freedoms and values. So, that’s what I am going to do – get back to work for the people I represent.
As I give thanks today so for so many blessings in my life, I want you to know how grateful and appreciative I am of you and your support. Your commitment to supporting my work energizes me, lifts my spirits, and keeps me going when it gets tough.
On this Thanksgiving Day, I say thank you! I am thankful for the support of my family, friends, colleagues, volunteers, staff, donors, neighbors, and all the voters who decided to “Vote Betty!”
We live in a great country – not a perfect country. The years ahead will test our democracy. It will take all of us to do our duty as citizens to make our voices heard and to stand together to ensure America stays strong and free.
I wish you a very happy, peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving Day!
With warmest regards,
Betty McCollum
