We’ve put together this very special message from some of our clients.

Hi John,

As we gather to celebrate what we are grateful for this Thanksgiving, we want to share our own appreciation for your commitment and generosity to the Innocence Project. Since our founding, your support has helped us free or exonerate more than 250 individuals who wrongfully served a collective total of 3,942 years for crimes they did not commit.

Their freedom would not be possible without supporters like you, John, signing petitions, making calls to elected officials, and donating to our organization. As a token of our appreciation, we’ve put together this very special message from some of our clients: [link removed]

Our work makes a major impact on the lives of our clients and that’s in large part because of people like you, John.

At the Innocence Project, we work day in and out to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. But this work requires resources, John, so we’re counting on your support to ensure we can continue to advance the innocence movement now and tomorrow.

So please, in honor of Thanksgiving — and with Giving Tuesday right around the corner — consider making a donation and help us continue our work to free innocent people and prevent wrongful convictions.

However you are spending your day, we wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you,

Innocence Project

The Innocence Project works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems of justice for everyone. Founded in 1992 by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, the organization is now an independent nonprofit. Our work is guided by science and grounded in anti-racism.
