Happy Thanksgiving!

Representing our community in Congress is the honor of a lifetime — and I am immensely grateful every day for the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Colorado families.

Whether you cast a ballot for me, donated to our campaign, shared our message with friends and family, or simply stayed informed about my work in Washington, your efforts have not gone unnoticed. This Thanksgiving, I am profoundly thankful for supporters like you.

Serving my community in Congress never seemed possible because I knew there weren’t a lot of people like me in Washington.

Growing up, I started cleaning houses at age 12 to help make ends meet and waited tables to put myself through school to build a better life, while my family was impacted by the devastation of a mother who struggled with an opioid addiction.

But because of the investments and opportunities my community gave me, I beat the odds.

Today, I am thankful for the opportunity to bring progress and relief to families who are facing their own adversity.

Please know that, no matter how much dysfunction I encounter in Washington, I will never stop working to make a positive difference in the lives of Colorado families.

After all, that’s exactly what my community did for me growing up — and I’ll keep up that fight for as long as I have the privilege of serving in Congress.

I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday with friends, family, and loved ones. And if it’s a tough day for you, as it is for many people, please know that you’re not alone, and I hope you spend your day in ways that bring you peace and happiness.

Happy Thanksgiving. I’m thankful to have you on this team.
