It's the time of year where people send out dopey Thanksgiving messages.
But this year we decided to pause and ask, what are we actually thankful for? And we're thankful for what we have now, which is TCN.
A year and a half ago, we got fired from a long-standing job, and the question becomes, at 54, what do I want to do with the rest of my life? Should I retire? No.
The thing that people want more than anything, maybe even more than paying the mortgage on time, is purpose. Is there some reason for being on this planet? Is there some mission? Am I useful? And with the world the way it is, it felt like having a platform to tell the truth at scale, to say what you really think is true, to be as honest as you can possibly be. That's the greatest privilege there is, and that's the most useful thing there is.
And we have been truly privileged to be able to do that for the last year and a half. Almost our whole staff from Fox, great people, quit and came with us and have traveled the world with us since. And I hope made a difference, or allowed other people to say what they think is true and reach millions and millions of people.
All of that has been possible because of our subscribers to TCN, and we are just absolutely grateful to the hundreds of thousands of people who have subscribed, who believe as we do, that the world gets better when people tell the truth fearlessly, when people are as honest as they can possibly be. When people speak about things that actually matter, things change.
