Good morning, friend, and happy Thanksgiving!
It's been awhile since you last heard from me, so before I get back to prepping for the big feast this afternoon — and the big Dolphins game tonight — I had to take a moment to count the blessings that filled my cup throughout 2024.
I'm grateful for the support of my husband, my kids, my mom, and even our dog, Kali, while I was away from home on the campaign trail.
I'm grateful for my staff who worked day in and day out, rain or shine, to run such a well-oiled campaign machine in every corner of the Sunshine State.
I'm grateful for the voters who helped me win my primary and showed up for me and abortion rights in Florida — even if our state-level GOP couldn't take majority rule for an answer.
I'm especially grateful that, despite Democrats losing Senate control, Rick Scott will NOT be the majority leader come January.
But above all, friend, this Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for you.
Every petition you signed.
Every call you made.
Every door you knocked.
Every rally you attended.
Every single cent you contributed.
Every little thing you did helped put my ads on the air, my name in people's mouths, and my race in Florida on the map. And that, friend, is something that no one — not Donald Trump, not Ron DeSantis, and certainly not Rick Scott — can ever take away from us.
I hope your holiday is full of light, loved ones, laughter, and lots of good food. Thank you again for all you did — and all you do — in the fight to make Florida a state where our families can thrive. And thank you for never giving up!
Con gratitud,
Debbie Mucarsel-Powell
