Dear Friend,
One year ago, my innocent police officer husband
was locked away in prison to serve out a six-year sentence...
Why?
Because my husband, Detective Eric DeValkenaere,
followed his training and saved his partner's life. But tragically, he was forced to shoot a bad guy and the bad guy died… and as happens
so often these days, the woke anti-police mob jumped at the chance to ruin the life of a good cop.
Now I'm asking you to help bring my husband home in
time for Thanksgiving -- so my three children don't spend another holiday season without their dad.
Will you sign this EMERGENCY PETITION to bring Eric home NOW?
If you don't know Eric's story, let me quickly fill you
in…
Eric and his partner were approaching a fleeing
suspect's vehicle -- shouting commands to STOP and SHOW YOUR HANDS -- when my husband saw the suspect reach for a handgun and point it directly at his
partner.
Eric's training kicked in and he discharged his firearm
into the windshield of the vehicle 4 times.
Officers found a .45 semi-automatic pistol beneath the
deceased suspect -- which they later learned was stolen.
I have no doubt Eric saved his partner's life that
afternoon -- and probably his own.
Yet the District attorney charged Eric with Involuntary
Manslaughter and Armed Criminal Action -- and a judge convicted him. We thought for sure Eric would win on appeal, but the Missouri Courts upheld the
unjust manslaughter conviction.
With our legal options exhausted, our best chance to
bring Eric home is a pardon from Missouri Governor Mike Parson before he leaves office at the end of the year.
You see, Gov. Parson is a retired sheriff -- and he's
shown a lot of interest in Eric's case.
With the help of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund
(LELDF), we've sent tens of thousands signed petitions to Gov. Parson over the last year. But time is running out for him to right this miscarriage of
justice.
Will you take 30 seconds to sign the EMERGENCY PETITION to bring Eric home NOW?
After signing the petition, please make a
generous tax-deductible donation of $35 or more to LELDF to help pay for this massive nationwide petition drive.
With the help of patriotic Americans like you, LELDF
has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide Eric with a great legal defense. But unfortunately, it hasn't been enough to combat the
radical anti-police mob in Missouri.
When Jason Johnson – LELDF's president -- told me
they would continue to fight for Eric's freedom by helping to pay for the pardon petition campaign, I knew there was still hope.
If you've heard of LELDF, then you already know they're
a non-profit organization that supports and defends wrongly accused officers like my husband. For more than 30 years, LELDF has helped hundreds of men
and women in blue clear their names and win back their freedom.
Including helping Officer Stephanie Mohr get
pardoned by President Trump in 2020.
It's such a comfort knowing there are pro-police
patriots like Jason and the team and LELDF…
…but without your urgent action today,
Eric will be locked in prison for another Thanksgiving, another Christmas, another New Year's…
It's bad enough we just missed celebrating our 24th
wedding anniversary together. But my children NEED their dad at home.
Please follow this link right away to sign the EMERGENCY PETITION to bring Eric home NOW.
And if you're able, please make a generous
donation to help LELDF fund this petition along with the legal defenses of all the officers they support.
The reality is we can't get back the last year Eric has
been sitting in prison or the nearly four years this nightmare has been hanging over our heads. But with your help today, we can bring my husband home
in time to spend the holidays with his three children.
No matter how you're able to help today, please pray for my family. Thank
you in advance.
