Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a day to take a moment and be with loved ones – but also a moment to remember that even during challenging times, we have so much to be grateful for.
I am so honored to be in this role serving as Comptroller and grateful to the people of Maryland who have trusted me to ensure this office does all that it can for our state’s communities, families, and businesses. I feel lucky to have the chance to work with the 1,200 amazing people at the agency – each of whom is there to serve.
I’m grateful to my family and friends for their incredible support – including to you! And to all those individuals who did so much over the past six months to preserve democracy and build a better country for all of us over the long term.
I know the last few weeks have been difficult and disappointing for many, but I also know we will get through the next few tumultuous years only by working together. I hope you take some time today to take a breath, reflect, and share gratitude for all the positive things, no matter how big or small they seem.
