The holidays always offer me an opportunity to pause and reflect on all that has transpired throughout the year. A time to put into perspective not only my own family’s celebrations and challenges, but those of the autism community I serve, and to share my gratitude.
I am especially thankful for the significant strides we have made together to advance our mission and recognize that we must balance our progress and support with the challenges brought about by times of uncertainty in an uncertain world. Times that call for each of us to have the willingness, humility and ability to act, learn and adapt but most importantly, to value and lean on each other’s experiences and perspectives. I am honored to have you by our side.
As the new year approaches, may we continue to foster a world where understanding and acceptance are given freely to all in peace, compassion and gratitude. Together, we can make a world of difference.
Wishing you a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.
