Dear people of our Network,
As we wrap up this traditionally hectic month, filled with our campaigns, events, and initiatives leading up to the winter break, we were astounded to notice that's been even busier than usual!
This also meant we had the opportunity to make great things together, so we're grateful and we hope you'll enjoy reading about them.

First of all we're very happy to share with you the Activist Livestream conversation with Navika Deol, which happened Sunday the 10th of November on our Instagram Account and you can watch here. The livestream gave us the chance to talk about this year's topic, populism from a youth and activist perspective, helping us to produce a series of recommendation to support civil society organisations and individuals to contrast the Perils of Populism, together with our publication on the matter.
The guide include tips like:

Publication of HE/SHE might be an extremist โ Manual on preventing violent radicalisation
Talking about publications, we're also thrilled to announce the finalisation and publication of our new manual, Crafted within the R2COM - Radicalisation and Violent Extremism Prevention in the Community project, this handbook complements the TV-RAT (Transitioning Vulnerabilities to Radicalisation Assessment Tool). It's designed to support practitioners in their professional roles when dealing with violent extremist environments. It also provides crucial guidance on how to identify, prevent further escalation, and support pro-social reintegration.
We hope this handbook becomes a valuable resource in your daily work, promoting democracy, human rights, and equality for all, while countering undemocratic and violent extremism. You can download it here for freeย and let us know how youโll use it!

UNITED at #COP29 in Baku
We're grateful to have our Delegate & Experts Program that allows the Network to literally be present in multiple places at multiple times and it'sallowed us to be present at #COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, to discuss particularly the topics of Climate Finance & Loss and Damage, and support the advocacy to empower youth, as well as women with disabilities in climate policy making.
This was also made possible by our partners, Humanity Consulting with the Erasmus+ Global Partnerships initiative, that allow for capacity building and competence exchange at multiple levels.
We're very much looking forward to read and see the inputs and feedbacks from this group of young talents, especially considering that we're also looking closely to the silencing of activists in the country (read the article here) and to the signing of a deal that left many countries unhappy, reinforcing existing power imbalances at global level. So follow our social media and let us know what you think!
