Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks to God for the blessings we enjoy as Americans. It’s a moment to reflect on His grace in our lives – our homes, our families, and the freedom we hold dear. It’s also a time to remember those facing hard times. Let’s do our best to act with compassion, as our faith calls us to serve one another.
Each year I like to watch this clip from Rush Limbaugh telling the story of Thanksgiving. It is only about 8 minutes, but it is well worth your time.
This Thanksgiving, do not just count our blessings. Let’s also share them. Look to your church or community for ways to help your struggling neighbors. Whether that’s volunteering at a shelter, donating warm winter clothes, or giving to a local food bank, even the simplest acts of kindness can make a real difference in someone’s life.
May you and your loved ones have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
God Bless,
