On this special day, as we reflect on all that we're thankful for, I can't help but think of you. I am so grateful for your compassion in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
Thanks to your participation in our community, we are able to help millions of people across the country with essential care and support whenever they need it — any day, any time, even during the holidays.
If you or someone you love needs support at any time during this special time of year, please know the Alzheimer's Association is here for you. As you prepare for the upcoming holidays, I encourage you to visit our the Holidays and Alzheimer's page. It has useful tips and resources for safely enjoying this special time with loved ones while managing your own well-being. As always, our caring specialists and master's-level clinicians are always just a phone call away at our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) to offer information and support.
The holidays can be especially difficult for families impacted by this devastating disease. Whether they used to carve the turkey, organize the annual touch football game or lead the "What I'm thankful for" discussion, the changes someone living with Alzheimer's has experienced can bring a sense of loss for them — and those who love them. That's why I'm so grateful to you for helping make our essential resources available to everyone during the holidays, and all year long.
As I think about all we have to be thankful for, I also want to take a moment to recognize that November is National Family Caregivers Month — a time to show appreciation for the over 11 million Americans providing unpaid care for someone living with Alzheimer's or another dementia. This level of care can be physically, mentally and emotionally challenging, and the holiday season may add to this stress.
In addition to impactful resources like these, your generosity is also helping fuel more than 1,110 active research projects in 56 countries while we advocate in all 50 states to affect policy change that will improve the lives of everyone impacted by this disease.
Nothing we do is possible without the generosity of our community. Thank you for your interest in supporting our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. While today is a special day to give thanks, I can't stress enough how grateful we are for you every single day of the year.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.

Chief Marketing Officer
P.S. I want to share one more thing I'm thankful for: our special GivingTuesday 3X Match Challenge. The Samuels Family Foundation in Texas has pledged a remarkable $400,000 in support of the Alzheimer's Association International Research Grant Program to advance promising Alzheimer's research. Thanks to their extraordinary contribution — made in honor of family patriarch Vic Samuels — any gift you make, up to $400,000, by midnight on December 3 can be triple-matched to help provide care and support and fuel vital research. Please consider making a gift now, while you can triple your impact. Thank you so much.
Your donation will strengthen our efforts to advance Alzheimer's care, support and research. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising global research initiatives, your gift makes a difference in the lives of all those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias in your community and across the world. Thank you for your continued support.
