John, maybe it’s just me, but it’s feeling more important than ever to take a step back and remember what we’re thankful for.
I’m thankful for our growing network of teachers and educators dedicated to ending gun violence.
I’m thankful for the progress Teachers Unify has already made. This year, we’ve advocated for new safety measures, expanded existing laws for the better, and celebrated the creation of a White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
And I’m thankful for the grassroots donors who’ve made all of this possible. With their support, I’m able to take a leave of absence from teaching to focus all my energy on fighting for the safety of our school communities.
Nothing could be more important.
So from all of us here at Teachers Unify, Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for being a part of our movement.
Thanks,
Abbey
