I hope you and your families have a peaceful Thanksgiving and are able to reflect on all of our blessings. Follow me on social media to see more of my work. I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America – I serve to fight and work to make it stronger. That's what I am doing while believing our brightest days are yet to come. Yours in service, Click below to follow me on social media. Mann.House.Gov Happy Thanksgiving! As we gather around our tables this year, I hope you and your family can reflect on all that we have been blessed with – to live and work in the freest nation in the world, to be surrounded by loved ones and neighbors, and more. I am also thankful to our farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers, whose dedication and tireless efforts help feed both America and the world. We are abundantly blessed to live in America, and I am grateful for how the Lord continues to bless our great nation. Celebrating National Rural Health Month Every Kansan deserves access to quality, affordable health care, regardless of their zip code. In honor of National Rural Health Month, I recognized the work of rural health care providers and networks across the state of Kansas on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. I am committed to eliminating red tape that limits care in rural areas, expanding telehealth services, and backing programs that provide a safety net for rural communities. I’m deeply grateful for the dedication of health care workers, this Rural Health Month and every month. Addressing America's Mandate On November 5, 2024, America gave Washington, D.C. a mandate, endorsing the greatest political comeback in American history with the election of President Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States and Republican majorities in the House and Senate. Voters chose a government that prioritizes the needs of working families and makes their lives easier, not one that handcuffs them with overreaching regulations. I am committed to securing a future in which American families can feel optimistic. Republicans and President Trump are focused on driving economic growth, securing our border, ending the weaponization of government, and reducing and reprioritizing our federal spending to better serve our nation. Calling for a Halt in FHFA Title Waiver Program In my commitment to the Big First, I promised to roll back burdensome regulations that create barriers for American families. Recently, the Biden Administration’s Federal Housing Finance Agency proposed eliminating requirements on title insurance and classifying it as a “junk fee” in mortgage closing costs. By waiving title insurance, the Biden Administration would only heighten risk for homeowners and mortgage lenders alike and leave consumers susceptible to hidden threats not found in other records like unfiled liens, fraud, and forgery. My co-chairs of the Congressional Real Estate Caucus and I sent a letter to Sandra Thompson, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, calling for a halt of the Agency’s Title Acceptance Pilot program until the agency seeks public input. I will continue to protect homeowners and buyers. Read the full letter here In the Office Clean Fuels Alliance Clean Fuels Alliance of America is a U.S. trade group dedicated to promoting sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel, and biodiesel. We discussed legislation such as my 45Z bill that would support American energy and agricultural producers and prioritize domestic feedstocks. With partners like the Clean Fuels Alliance of America, we can bring back American energy dominance and energy independence. Thank you CFAA! National Sorghum Producers The first congressional district ranks number one in the nation for sorghum production. I met with the National Sorghum Producers to discuss the need for a five-year, fiscally conservative Farm Bill, robust trade programs and agreements, and a strong farm safety net. Thank you, NSP for feeding and fueling the world. Visiting Washington, D.C.?
