Brand New Congress is proud to say that in 2020 we have a majority female slate!
Each one of the 24 female candidates has a different story to tell. Each one brings unique experiences to the table in their fight for change in their districts and states.
Their experiences are wide-ranging, and varied, from community organizers, business owners, and executives, to nurses, educators, government workers, non-profit leaders, advocates, and mothers.
Women should be leading the discussions when policies are written about our healthcare, our rights, our bodies, and our families. Females make up half the population in the United States but women still only make up 24% of Congress.
A century after the suffrage movement and we continue the fight for equal representation. It’s a brand new decade and time for a brand new congress. Can you contribute $20.20 today to help our fierce BNC candidates win?
Two of our candidates, Nabilah Islam (GA-07) and Ihssane Leckey (MA-04), are running to be the first Muslim women in their districts to hold office. BNC candidate Rashida Tlaib (MI-13), who shattered that glass ceiling for her district in 2018, is running to secure her seat for 2020!
We already have two female candidates, Adrienne Bell (TX-14) and Kara Eastman (NE-02) who are headed to the general election to replace two stereotypical male Republicans that have a history of voting against women’s interests.
It’s time for a change! It’s time for women to not only have a seat at the table but to take the reigns. We are done with tokenization. It’s time for real equalization of leadership!

We wouldn’t be continuing to fight and support our candidates' campaigns (which takes funding) if flipping the Senate and keeping control of the House wasn’t critical.
