Happy Thanksgiving!

While there is plenty of work ahead, there is also so much to be thankful for this holiday season. I was especially grateful to host a family giveaway at Vine Street Early Education Center yesterday—donating food, books, toys, clothing, and other essential items with the support of our partners at Vamonos. As we prepare for Thanksgiving tomorrow and the upcoming holiday season, it is moments like this that remind me what the holiday spirit is really about.

As always, I’m also thankful for the tireless efforts of our teachers and school staff driving progress for our students, for the support of families and partners in our school communities, and for the continued efforts of our District to ensure that every child in LAUSD has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
