Hi John,

We’re in the season of gratitude, and in spirit of that we want to take the chance to extend our heartfelt thank you for being a part of our work. We know that we say this a lot, but that’s only because it’s true - none of our work is possible without you.

From taking action on our issues, making a contribution, to being a volunteer and speaking to voters about our endorsed candidates, your support is what keeps OLCV going and doing the important work of fighting for our climate. We are oh so grateful to know that we can count on you! Thank you for joining us during this vital fight for our people, places, and environment.

While we are all giving thanks and expressing gratitude ahead of the holidays, we’d also like to take a moment to address, acknowledge, and honor the Indigenous communities and land that we now call Oregon. Oregon was built on broken treaties, colonization, and stolen land. Federal and state policies, both past and present, have had lasting effects on Native Americans, putting them at a disadvantage for hundreds of years. It is our responsibility to re-educate ourselves and each other, push past recognition, and demand land repatriation and reparations to Sovereign Tribal Nations and Indigenous people across this state. May this holiday be a reminder to us all to support Indigenous communities and voices, acknowledge our history, and learn about our land (explore the native land map here: [link removed]).

Once again, thank you for being involved and part of our work. All of us at OLCV wish you a happy and warm harvest holiday.

With gratitude,
All of us at OLCV
