John, with Giving Tuesday less than a week away, I have one enormous reason for helping ensure that Brady reaches their fundraising goals: Jaime.

Almost seven years ago, my daughter Jaime was murdered by a gunman armed with a military-style assault weapon at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of her — especially during the holidays when my whole family gathers together and we feel her absence even more. 

Nor is there a day that goes by that I’m not fighting to stop another parent from losing a child to gun violence. That’s why Brady's work to pass life-saving common-sense policies, hold gun manufacturers accountable in court, and take on the NRA and their pocket politicians is so important.
