Victory for Texas School Children!
|
To recap on the final vote, last week the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) voted to approve instructional materials that reference the Bible. Many from the “Left” who do not believe in religious liberty were attacking these materials that are protected by the First Amendment. Final vote was 8 to approve the materials and 7 against. Three Republican SBOE members Patricia Hardy, Pam Little, and Evelyn Brooks voted against the Bluebonnet materials.
Watch the KVUE News clip here. Thank you to all who wrote to the SBOE expressing your views in keeping Biblical references in English Language Arts materials and to the SBOE members who voted to keep the Biblical references in. |
Texas Values has been active in work at the Texas State Board of Education for over a decade and we were directly involved in this issue all week and we led this issue to victory with the help of many other hard-working organizations like: First Liberty Institute, CWA, Moms For Liberty and Texas Eagle Forum. In the past, Texas Values has successfully fought for keeping religious references such as Moses and the 10 commandments in the state standards. View the Press Release on this victory!

Special Guest Morgonn McMichael Contributor, Turning Point USA on the Texas Values Report! |
Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values, discusses the impact Gen Z and young voters had on this election with Special Guest Morgonn McMichael, Turning Point USA Contributor!
"The RFK decision to support Donald Trump absolutely changed the game when it came to young female voters." "...now that all the cabinet picks are confirmed and finished, I see some very exciting things that are going to be happening in the next couple of years here in DC."
"We won this election but that doesn’t mean we stop, now we have to continue to educate others, actually encourage our leaders, congressmen and women, to pass the legislation that we want, to push our country in a more conservative direction and uphold the values we want to see represented." ~ Morgonn McMichael |
