9-year-old Mira has dreamed of an end to the fighting in Lebanon. With the newly announced ceasefire, she and her family have a chance to start to rebuild their lives and heal their community.
Mira was forced to flee with her family to a shelter converted from a school after bombing threats came dangerously close to their home. Despite being displaced, she was hopeful that she would once again see her house, her school and her friends. A ceasefire is the first essential step in a return to safety after months of unrest and destruction. |
Like Mira, many displaced children across Lebanon and around the world are in a state of uncertainty — missing their homes, their families and their own beds. That’s why UNICEF shows up for children who have been displaced or are on the move. Children deserve stability, hope and a chance to rebuild their futures. UNICEF will continue to stand with them every step of the way.
With Giving Week just a few days away, an early gift from you will go 3X as far to reach children like Mira all over the world. Send TRIPLE the hope and relief to children >>
Thank you for all of your support,
