Just like we knew former Rep. Matt Gaetz was wrong for Attorney General,
we know longtime Trump ally and lawyer Pam Bondi will side with Trump over
the rule of law!

We know Bondi will represent Trump first and America second because she
already has! After a political organization supporting her when she was
Florida attorney general received what appeared to be an illegal
contribution from the Trump Foundation, she decided not to join a lawsuit
against Trump University. In 2020, she backed his false claims of election
fraud as he was trying to undo the results of the presidential election.
Bondi served as Trump’s lawyer during his first impeachment trial. After
that, she went on to lead the legal arm of America First Policy
Institute—a far-right think tank set up by former Trump staffers to
prepare a “revolutionary” agenda for his return to power.

We know that Trump demands blind loyalty and a willingness to abuse the
law to target his opponents. Bondi’s record demonstrates she’ll meet his
standards. The Department of Justice cannot be bent to Trump’s will. We
must resist.

We cannot stand by and allow such an extreme Trump loyalist to weaponize
the DOJ against those Trump deems enemies. We must demand an Attorney
General who will defend the Constitution—and most importantly act as a
check on the president. The Attorney General must be the lawyer for the
American people – not Donald Trump.

extremist agenda! >>

The Senate must do its duty to the American people and reject this
nominee. Pam Bondi is not right for the Department of Justice and she is
not right for us.
