 Dear Neighbors,
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving—a time for all of us to hit pause and reflect on the many blessings we have. I hope you can spend time with friends, family, and loved ones.
With the start of the holiday season, I encourage you to find a way to give back to those less fortunate. We have many charities and organizations in our area that do an outstanding job helping out those in need. Please consider donating your time or money to one of these organizations this year.
I am especially thankful this year for the continued trust you have placed in me to represent you, your family, and our communities for another two years in St. Paul. It continues to be a tremendous honor and a responsibility I take very seriously.
When legislators take the oath of office on January 14th, the new political makeup of the Minnesota House of Representatives will be 67-67. With no clear majority for either Republicans or Democrats, leadership will need to negotiate a power-sharing agreement.
Because one political party does not have full control of the chamber, both sides will truly be forced to work together to pass legislation that accomplishes the state’s business. This is good news because it officially will bring an end to the Democrat Trifecta and one-party control of St. Paul.
Stay tuned for more details on the final power-sharing agreement and additional updates as we head into what is sure to be a truly historic 2025 legislative session.
Staying in Touch
I encourage you to continue reaching out to my office if you need assistance in a matter related to state government. I can be reached at 651-296-3172 or [email protected].
Happy Thanksgiving!
