 Dear Neighbors,
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I wanted to take a moment to wish you and your family a blessed holiday!
I hope your day is filled with great food, good company, and time spent reflecting on the blessings in your life.
Keri and I are thankful for our faith, our family, and the trust you have placed in me to represent you, your family, and the entire Brainerd Lakes Area. I am blessed and truly thankful!
Additionally, I want to extend my sincere gratitude for the trust you placed in me, on November 5th, to continue serving the Lakes Area in St. Paul for the next two years.
I am pleased to share that because of your support and the support of freedom-loving Minnesotans across our state, together we ended the Democrat Trifecta. When lawmakers take the oath of office on January 14th, the new party breakdown of the Minnesota House of Representatives will be 67-67.
That’s right, for only the second time in our state’s history, the House will be evenly split 67-67. This means that one-party rule in Minnesota is coming to an end and a new era of divided government will begin. The even split means that House Republicans will be able to effectively provide a check on the excesses of full Democrat control we’ve seen the last two years.
Stay tuned for more information on this as the full power-sharing agreement is still being negotiated between House Democrats and Republicans.
