Vote by mail is turning out to be a great thing for democracy!
We are seeing record requests for absentee ballots in Iowa, which means more Iowans are getting involved and stepping up to have their voices heard.
In the 2018 primary, Iowa saw a record turnout: 176,700 democratic votes cast -- a number only surpassed back in 1990 when there were 200,305 votes cast.
John, as of this writing, 178,760 Democrats have requested ballots to vote in our primary. So have 6,871 Republicans and 31,212 “no party” voters.
We’re less than three weeks from Election Day -- and I want Iowans to know they have an advocate in their corner. I will fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal and universal childcare.
With your help, we will win this election and show the country that Iowa is ready for change.
