I will make this brief -- I need your help. We knew it wasn't going to be easy to win in November, and that was before the polls came out calling this race a toss-up and dark money super PACs backed our opposition.

Now one of our opponents just launched a new wave of TV ads, beating us to the air. Add all of that up and it spells trouble.

But I know this team, and I know what we can do. I am confident that if we work together we can win. That's how we defeated an extreme Republican opponent with dark money backing -- in a district that President Trump won in 2016. They may have outspent us, but we outworked them.

We only won by a few thousand votes, and this year we may not be able to rely on a blue wave to help us win. We are going to need to outwork the national Republican machine again, and that's why I'm coming to you.
