CBS News reports that “More than 15 states could see abortion access ‘profoundly’ reduced” if the Supreme Court upholds a Louisiana law -- called the “Unsafe Abortion Protection Act” -- that would make it more difficult for doctors to provide abortion care to patients across the country.
It’s a safe bet that our liberal justices will stand against the restriction. Ruth Bader Ginsburg has already made her views on abortion clear, saying, “It is essential to woman’s equality with man that she be the decisionmaker, that her choice be controlling. If you impose restraints that impede her choice, you are disadvantaging her because of her sex.”
But it’s frightening to consider that RBG uttered those words 25 years ago -- and that Republicans are now trying to roll back the clock to the dark ages on women’s rights.
